Day 7: Norwegian Church

Yesterday I talked about Kvinnherad Church and how it is really old.  On Sunday, I went inside the church for church service.  It was a Lutheran service with much singing and talking.  I didn't do a very good job singing but it was okay.  Stein was in the row behind me and he was bellowing enough for the both of us.  It was though because of him that I was even able to sing the chorus semi-good.  We can Kum-ba-yah and that was in English so that was great!  I did a good job singing that hymn.  Once the service was over then Stein gave us a little tour of the church.  It was cool to see the church with the tour.  There was this cool boat that was suspended in the air.  There was also a couple chandeliers and a stained glass window.  I like the boat above where the people sit.  I found out that that part of the church, or at least this one, is called the ship.  Hence the ship.  The entryway was called the weapon room because that is where the soldiers of old left their weapons.  At the end of the service we got coffee or juice and then a piece of cake.  It was good cake.  Yum!
