Day 5:

Today there was a lot of planning that happened between Erland and me.  I was also able to talk with the 9th grade math teacher that I am going to teach for on Monday.  I was able to show him what I had prepared for Monday and he seemed to like what he saw.  I was glad. With Erland I was able to talk through more of what he wants me to do during our little math group that we will have on Monday morning.  I was able to get a number of presentations done and working on the accompanying lesson plan.  I like preparing the PowerPoint first and then going back through and revisiting my learning objectives and reviewing my presentation to see if my presentation achieves my learning objective(s).  It is also a good time to make sure that there is a cohesive flow between slides and ideas.

Another thing that I did was work on orienting myself with the Promethean board in the classroom.  That actually took quite a long time.  Erland hasn't used them so he didn’t stay with me  he went back to his desk to prepare some lessons and stuff.  That was fine with me.  I won’t say all the struggles that I had but it took a long time to get it to work and I would still need to work with it more to have it do more of what I want.

At the end of school Berit came up to me and gave me a suggestion on something that  I could do in Rosendal.  First I am going to need to find out where the church is.  I don’t think that it will be too hard to figure that out.  Rosendal really isn’t that big.  Then I will keep going on that road and then make a couple turns and then there will be this old cabin.  Berit drew a little map and had better directions.  I am excited to check that out this weekend.  I will also be sure to tell her about it when I see her next.  That will probably be on Monday.  So far the weather has been beautiful yesterday and today so I am going to take advance of that as much as possible while I can.  There were a bunch of people that were telling me to do the same thing.  Take advance of this good weather while we have it.
