27. Activity night

On Thursday we had a fun night.  Thanks to Brooke for sharing her pictures with me.  The students at Rosendal Ungdomskule are somewhat spoiled I would say.  I don't mean that in a bad way.  They just are.  We had an activity night.  So all 9 of us student teachers went over to Rosendal at 7:15 to plan the night's activities.  At 7:30, the teachers had prepared hamburgers for us and we were talking and playing ping pong with the students.

It was funny because the tables were segregated.  I mean, what can you expect though.  These are middle school boys and girls.

There was the table of girls and then there was the table with the rest of the girls and the rest of the guys.  After I finished eating though I went and sat by Ashley and infiltrated the girls' table.

By 8, it was then time to start our next activity.  That activity was Capture the Flag.  It took a little while to get things started but once they were started it was a lot of fun.  I really enjoyed myself running around and avoiding being tagged and taken to prison.  I think all of the students had a really good time with the game.

Neither team got the other team's flag so Ashley decided on a tie breaker.  We were to recreate a national monument from America.  One team recreated the Statue of Liberty and the other team recreated Mount Rushmore.
By the end of the night Nate and I had a pretty good group of girls around us.  In the picture Nate is showing "his three kids."  They are actually his sister's kids.
