20h: Easter Week - Sunday - Krakow, Bergen, Rosendal

Happy Easter.  Again we were kind of pressed to get to the bus station since we weren’t exactly sure about things getting to the airport and what not.  We grabbed the plate with two rolls and I downed a cup of milk and then we were off.  The offices at the bus station were all closed and there weren’t many people around to ask for help.  But we found the bus number that we needed and the machine that we could buy tickets from.  The machine was kind of dumb and wouldn’t take the 10 zloty bills the first time.  This caused Kylie and Ashley to be really stressed.  We eventually did buy our tickets and get on the bus with plenty of time to spare.

At the airport there is a lot of construction.  Krakow also doesn’t have a very big airport.  There were two terminals that were pretty well separated and in Terminal 1 there are 8 gates.  There wasn’t a lot of waiting room for people but thankfully we were able to find a place to sit down that wasn’t very far from the gate.

There was an old chap that was way drunk that was trying to get on the flight but couldn’t.  The man at the gate wouldn’t allow him on the plane because he was drunk.  The man had a buddy who also looked drunk but he must have pulled it together at least a little bit because he was able to board the plane.  But the other man was not.
We flew into Bergen and waited for a couple hours just in the airport.  We didn’t leave because that would have been useless.  I don’t think that there would have been many things that would have been open because it was Sunday but also because it was Easter Sunday.

After a couple hours we got on the bus down to the pier and then got on the fast boat to Rosendal.  I don’t remember the fast boat stopping at any of the stops except at Rosendal.  I turned to Ashley when we got to Rosendal if she had noticed that as well and she agreed.

It was really nice to come back to the cabin and be surprised by the other Americans with dinner!  It was so good!  We had waffles with cream and also jam.  It was tasty.  Along with the dinner we were all exciting to talk about our own vacations and hear about other people’s vacations.  That was really fun.

We were interested in how far we had walked this week because we knew that it was pretty far.  So I looked at my Jawbone UP app.  It told me that we had walked 120,000 steps between Monday and Saturday which translates to about 60 miles!  That means that we averages 20,000 a day which is about 10 miles a day.  I think that is the most I have ever walked in the period of 6 days
